We are Spilni Dukhom (“Kindred Spirits”), a Ukrainian non-governmental organisation. We run support groups for the families of soldiers and veterans, and for people whose work is to support others: teachers, social workers, volunteers. We work through action: psychodrama, peer-support circles, resilience practice. In Odesa and online.

Three programmes
Psychodrama group. A closed eight-week group for people living in waiting, uncertainty or after loss. Working through action, not only talk. Led by a certified psychologist and psychodramatist. Read more →
Peer-support circles. Open weekly meetings: we speak in turn, nobody gives advice, and we close with a short practice of coming back to oneself. Come once or come every week. Read more →

How we work
Method. Psychodrama by European training standards: an experience that is hard to put into words can be enacted, seen from the outside and changed. The group format offers what a one-to-one session cannot: the sense of not being alone.
Measurement. Every participant fills in short well-being questionnaires before and after a cycle. We publish the results of every cycle, including what did not work.
Safety. Informed consent, group confidentiality, a crisis-referral protocol, external supervision of facilitators, participant-protection policies. Psychological help is provided only by a professional with the relevant degree.
